Ann explained that the starting point could be stump work, but we would be looking at the use of raised stitches in many different contexts.
We started with a a small sample to practice some of the stitches and over the next couple of sessions we will expand on this and try to build some of the raised stitches into other works.
With lots of examples on show to inspire us, it looks as though this is going to be a very interesting voyage of discovery especially for those of us less familiar with these techniques
